We are moving next weekend so I know that this is dumb but I have finally gotten to my breaking point. I have been living with my husband in a 2 bedroom duplex for about 4 months now. We have been living here waiting out our lease and looking for a new home. Which we found and will be moving into next weekend. But our dishwasher broke about 1 month ago, and I have no problem doing my husband and my dishes but our housemate insists on leaving his dishes in the sink and then loading them into the BROKEN dish washer! WTF! so I have to re-wash them because they are actually OUR dishes. So today I packed all our dishes and bought paper. I just hit my breaking point.
Do you think I went to far? or just far enough?
Re: Hate the roommate
Why do you guys have a roommate? I'm not being snarky, curious because that can be hard on a marriage, especially when a baby is coming. Is htis roommate moving with you?
I had a former roommate who never washed her dishes. DH (not married yet) lived in the apt. across the hall, so I quit eating in our apt and at at DH's and just washed our dishes there.
Why does this matter?
I had a roomate who used my dishes and then let them sit in the sink for two weeks before washing them. I think you were fine to pack them up. I mean, you're moving, it's not like you're going to bring dirty dishes with you.
