Ugh, IN LAWS!!

Even when you cut people out apparently they don't give up! ?I got more nasty voicemails randomly yesterday from SIL and texts. ?One text said

"Your daughter is ugly just like you"

"You are a fat hoe who slept with all of ASU" ?(I didn't even go to ASU)

"You are beneath me and my family you trailer whore"

"Your mom called my mom and told her to never believe anything out of your mouth" ?(Our parents have never talked because of the stuff his parents have always pulled)

"You are sick in the head and a sh*tty mother. ?Get help for your postpartum depression and check into a mental asylum" ?(Um don't have postpartum depression)

?

So, I blocked their numbers now but ugh, any advice? ?I do not want to be contacted by them. Do not put my daughter down! I dont even know what to do anymore. ?They're spreading lies that we are keeping the baby from them and how messed up I am and blah blah. ?

I think you could apply for a no contact order. You don't need a police report to do so. It may be just temporary, but you may get your point across.......or piss them off even more. It is your decision to make.

or new phone/address etc. Basically, witness protection program from his family.

Good lord!  It sounds like at this point, she is harassing you, not just being a snatch.  Honestly, I'd probably call the non-emergency police line and start the process of getting a restraining order.  They seem to know no boundaries.

I dont have any advice, but yikes! I am sorry you are dealing with this! Is their anything your DH can say to them to make them leave you alone?

Ahh, restraining order! ?I was thinking this might be a good idea. ?It must have pissed them off when I ignored them the last few weeks. ?Sad thing is when DH told his parents what pathetic stuff his sister was doing and how she is done, they didn't even seem mad at her or think it was wrong. ?Even when he told them she called their grandchild ugly. ?Obviously parenting by them sucks too. ?

Is a restraining order hard to do??

Oh my lord, that is terrible.  Your SIL is off her rocker.  I agree, if she keeps harassing you I think you need to get some legal protection.  That's sad that she's driving you to do that, and that her whacko behavior means she won't know her neice.

Change your number and become un-listed. A no contact order sounds like a fantastic idea. I'm so sorry this has gotten so out of control.

This website pretty much spells out every step you need to take.

I caution you to discuss this with your DH fully, because this mean you are on the road to her not contacting you at all (legally). You would also have to report her for contacting you, and potentially getting her into a lot of trouble (court dates, arrests and jail time). I'm not saying she doesn't deserve it, but you need to make sure you are both willing to follow through with this.

You're more gracious than I think I could ever be. I can't even begin to think what her problem is or why she's being all Jerry Springer. I agree with other PP; this is beyond just catty behavior...this is a threat.

I am so sorry! It is not hard to get a protection order but can take an emotional toll. I had to get one against my brother for threatening to kill my unborn child and myself. You can go to any county court and get the paperwork. It can be time consuming but it can also be worth it depending on the situation. I had support from half of my family and the other half just think it's the hormones over reacting...it wasn't. I wish you well and hope for the best!
