How far would you drive for a GTG?

I have been thinking of hosting a Mommies and Me GTG at my place.  The only problem is I live in Maple Valley and know that is a hike for many people.  So how many people are willing to drive to the sticks?  Or we could do it at the spray park in like Bellevue?  I was thinking about a weekend GTG so some of us working mamas could join in on the fun!  Maybe the weekend after 4th of July?  Thoughts?

I just suggested the spray park in Bellevue! You're talking about the one near Crossroads, right?

I would say 30 to 40 minutes, pre-this next baby. DD does really well in the car (I have a lot of children's CDs she likes ), but post-baby #2, I can imagine not being willing to drive that far by myself, at least until I have the balancing act down, or unless he ends up being a fab car sleeper.

Yup thats the spray park I was thinking....but you guys are doing it during a week day right.  I cant make a weekday one....I am a slave to the man during the week.

Bri- YES for sure gtg sometime!  My poor kid is having daycare withdrawals, since my DH got laid off.  She is in serious need of some kid time!  Plus her mommy likes to be social too.

Nah, I put Saturday in there too. I work PT, but I know there are a lot of ppl who do FT, so I think having a weekend day as an option is good. Looks like we're still polling on that GTG, so nothing is final yet. I hope we can do one!

Me likes the idea of a bus load of girls and babies coming down to the dirty dirty south!  HAHA

 

I dont have a HUGE yard, but it would work for all the kids to play in.  Plus it leaves less room for trying to heard cats!  I also have a nice patio with chairs for all us the ladies to sit and chat it up at.

I also live across the street from the little community park so if we need more rooms its right there.  However they dont have much little kid stuff, but we can lug over the ball pit and little slide if we want to!

That's cool that you mention the TTC ladies! :-)  I realize most GTG invites are probably open, but I wouldn't normally feel comfortable going baby-less. :-)  Plus, I'm also a slave to the man during the week.  Depending on day and time, I could be a great baby holder, too, and I'd love to meet you ladies. 

I actually got married at Lake Wilderness Lodge!  It's kinda far from where I live now (hour+), but I think I'd still be down for the drive to get together.  I'll email you with my addy.

ETA: I'm up in the north end.  So, I'd be interested if other north enders are carpooling!
