I Just Got Off The Phone With Singer & Have An Edit to Make

The model is a 285 J, and it was made in 1963!  It was the last year that all machines were made in North America, and the later years of the similar models were made mostly in Lima Puru.  This machine is solid cast body w/ operational gears inside, instead of belts.  The only belt she has is the external one for the power wheel.

    Nice. Mine is also one of the last made in the USA and with all metal. I love love love that thing!

    The only thing I think I'm going to need to replace soon is the plug... it's really old and kind of bent up. It plugs in, but it'd be nice to have an updated one on it.
