I posted a few weeks ago about selling my stash of Bum Genius 3.0 one size diapers. My husband originally was willing to use them. We bought everything we needed before my son came. Once he arrived my husband refused to change the diapers. I waited it out to see if his views would change but he still will not use them. I figured my loss may give someone else the opportunity to buy everything they need at a discounted price.
What I have to sell:
24 total diapers (12 Brand new/12 have been washed and worn only once)
Retail Value $17.95 each
? All the diapers have the original packaging
? 3 Clementine
? 6 White
? 3 Moonbeam
? 3 Grasshopper
? 3 Ribbit
? 3 Twilight
? 3 Butternut
1 Bum Genius Diaper Sprayer (New in Package/ Never Opened)
? Retail Value $44.95
1 Small Blue Bummis Tote- Fits in diaper bag to store dirty diapers
? Retail Value $7
2 pairs of Bum Genius Baby Legs (No Packaging)
? Retail Value $12 each
? Ducks in a Row
? Hopscotch Jack
? My LO wore one of the pairs for a few minutes one day
This would cost $506.75 plus 6% tax=$537.15
I would like to sell the entire stash to the same person. If you know someone that would like to start using CD this is the perfect stash! I will take the best offer for everything. Email me at ChristinaHowell@charter.net
Re: Entire CD Stash For Sale (Bum Genius)
good question?

Have to admit I was wondering the same thing... Sorry you couldn't make it work.
You know this bunch is going to try to get you two to give it another shot.
I LOVE CDing. And DH really likes it too.
Has he even tried? Honestly - they are exactly the same when it comes to changing the diapers. All DH has to do it take it off, put it in the diaper can. Same as a sposie.
If DH doesn't wanna deal with the laundry or poo spraying, I think that's ok so long as he makes up for it by picking up another chore.
This will save you $$ in the long run
ditto & how much changing does he really do?
keep your stash for you and some other diapers for him
my husband will only use kissaluvs so I keep a few of those on hand for when he is "in charge"
Pre-stuff them. ?My dh seriously doesn't know the difference between AIOs and pockets. ?They are really just as easy as sposies. ?

So I take this to mean that when DS has a blowout in a sposie in public...he is just going to throw away all his clothes too? Lol.
Again, he puts the CD with poop into a wet bag (vs. a plastic bag for the sposie). Wet bag contains poo and smell. Gets home - gives it to you ;-P
Sorry he's being so weird about it all! You could do sposies in public and CDs at home. That would still save you some money if you're interested and like CDing.
Shame too because your son is just about the right age for when the BG OS would start fitting him (but I don't know how much he weighs. 12 lbs-ish is usually perfect).
that's a shame. speaking of bg i just got 2 brand new bg for $25 on DS so if no one emails you from here, maybe post it over there? you should problably list what you think is a fair price.
Will he do them at home if all he has to do is set the poopy dipe somewhere for you to deal with?
Will he negotiate? In return for doing CD's my DH gets Netflix (and we still end up ahead, $$-wise).
Can you just do sposies when he is out and about alone with the babe (which realy, how often does that happen?)
lol buy him a wet bag and tell him to grow up ;o)

I prestuffed the diapers and when DS had one on, he changed his wet diaper and put it aside and put a sposie on him. He just won't put a CD on him. He knows that all he has to do is put the diaper in the bin and I will take care of it, he is just being very stubborn. Because of my DH's schedule, he actually does do a lot of diaper changing. I am a teacher and wok all days. he has some late start days where he has him during that entire time. He is also off during the week sometimes and has him all day long. The cost of keeping the diapers doesn't seem to balance out enough in our situation.
This.
I would also get him some info on the chemicals causing infertility and the landfills filling up with waste. Also, any solid human waste is supposed to be flushed so he's going to need to grow up sooner or later.
Maybe it's just me but I don't get it. I would refuse to buy sposies. If he doesn't have access to them he can't use them. And if he wants them they would have to come out of his play $$. I would refuse to have them be part of my household budget.
wow, that sucks. DH is the primary diaper changer for DS when he's home and it doesn't bother him at all. He said he's just way too grateful of the money we save cding and the fact that dirty sposies stink sooooo much worse. He won't go near a prefold though, lol.
I agree with just about every pp there is. Good luck selling your stash!
Mmmmmhmmmm. I'm totally with you on this, Hippy. I would just say, "F no". Yesterday, I came home from work and as soon as I walked in the front door, I was almost knocked over. DH had a sposie on DS cuz they had been at MIL's and that was all she had. (he forgot the diaper bag) Anyway, the stink about knocked me over! (DS had pooped in the sposie)
There is no way in h-e-double hockey sticks that I would stand for sposies being part of our budget. Ick.
Sorry...I hate when people criticize things about my marriage. I just don't understand this one.
YGM.
Sorry your DH isn't on board. My DH is still very much on the fence about the poop but he loves the eco-friendly aspect, so looks like we're sticking with it.
You should be able to return the unwashed ones to the store where you got them from - same with the diaper sprayer since it's unopened.
Honestly, once you have children you have to deal with and touch poop. It's just part of the package
And it doesn't matter if you use cloth or sposies.
Actually my sister tells me you touch way more poop when you're potty training, lol.
