super dry bumpy back and chest?

I am really bummed b/c normal exfoliating scrubs aren't doing diddly for this. And it's gotten worse the last few weeks. it's not acne as much as it's little bumps that you can feel.

anyone else experiencing this and doing any special hydrating of your boobs or back? (nod to my wmmr listeners who remember Cathy saying this. ha)

Re: super dry bumpy back and chest?

  • My "girls" were super dry and itchy - I started using Lubriderm Triple Smoothing Body lotion for dry flaky skin and I've been fine ever since.

I would suggest staying away from exfoliators if your skin is dry - I would think they would deplete your skin of it's natural oils, making you even more dry and itchy.  However, if you must, I would make sure you follow it up immediately with a quality moisturing creme.

  • Yes I definitely have the bumps and I haven't found anything that works. Using a loofah kind of works, but I am kind of resigned to the fact that this is my new (hopefully temporary) body.
  • I had little bumps all over my back and the Dr said it was from the progestrone. Mine went away a few weeks ago.

  • I've been dealing with this since a couple weeks before BFP. My excema (sp?) is really bad as well and I think I'll end up having to spend the summer with perma-breakout on my shins. My back tens to get super itchy right after I shower, so I make sure to apply a ton of moisturizer as soon as I get out. DH has done it for me a coupla times now- sometimes it's further down my back than I can reach. When it breaks out really bad I use a cortico-steriod. This works great and you can get some over the counter (mine's prescrip strength).
