XS Thirsties V2

Hi - I just ordered 2 XS for my baby. She was 8 lbs 3 oz when she was born and is about 9 pounds now (5 weeks tomorrow). I know every baby is different, but can anyone guess how long (weeks/months) these will last her? The site said up to 12 pounds - I am just wondering if I should have ordered a Small instead and should return it when it comes for a larger size? However, I don't want it to be too big now either. She doesn't have very chunky legs, at least not now.

Re: XS Thirsties V2

  • In my experience, the Thirsties size small was too big until J was about 13 lbs.  So yeah, you'll need the XS Thirsties until then.  He could fit into the XS thirsties for about 2 months, until he was over 13 and a half lbs.

  • Thank you! I am so excited for them to come and was kind of sad that I might have to send them back. I am currently using my diaper covers (which are too big) from my 2 DSs who are now 17.5  and 16 years old. I figure I am due a new set!

Holy cow!  Yes, you deserve some new ones!

  • Wink LOL, I also have pins, so I ordered 2 snappi's. I had a Snappi with my DS (back when they were a "new" concept). Suffice it to say I am waiting anxiously for my package in the mail!

  • My LO was about 8 lbs and we used our until he was a good chunky 12ish lbs.  The smalls were way too big until that point and lasted a really long time.  His legs didnt pork out until about 16lbs though.
