So many "happy" posts this morning! Let's post more!

I haven't been over here in a bit, and I was so excited to see so many happy posts!  From nanakwaz's tape-free tike,  sauciesarie's sitting sweetie, and W&J'sMommy's talking toddler...it is so wonderful to see so many happy mommies!

Let's have some more "happies" today.  What has happened in your child's life lately that makes you happy (no matter how big or small).  Let's celebrate all the big and little successes!

I'll start...

This week DD has finally figured out how to prop up on on her forearms during tummy time!  And, we went to her four month appointment yesterday and the pediatrician is sooo pleased with her progress (I don't know about y'all, but I get a bit nervous anytime we go to a doctor).  He did refer us to yet another specialist, but I am not dwelling on that today.

It is nice to hear so much good news! ?What a great way to kick-off the weekend.

As for us, today is day five that Eva has not needed an emergency nebulizer treatment, just her regularly scheduled ones! ?Here's hoping the streak continues!?

After almost two years I finally feel comfortable enough with DD's care to go on a mini vacation just the two of us!  Usually DH and I both need to handle her care because she can very easily hurt herself.  I'm going to visit my friend in Newport RI and I will feel like a 'real' mom being able to handle DD and her medical needs all by myself!  So, I guess that's a kudos to DD for doing so well right now, and for me for working up the gall!

My ds has started responding to the question, "what is your name?" Thank goodness!! And last weekend he randomly said, "I love you," to dh. No echoics at all!

We have been very lucky to have found three great nurses to help with all of Owen's care.  I was very nervous and hesitant but the three woman are proving me wrong.  They love Owen and are just amazing with him...it has been a bright spot in an otherwise tough few weeks.

Also, I can't tell you how happy I was to read everyone's great news! I feel like I truly know all your little ones and have been rooting for each and every one of them...we are a great group of mothers with some amazing kids!

Yay for all of these positive posts!!

My 3 month old son was successfully extubated a few weeks ago and breathing on his own with only a small amount of oxygen. This is a really big deal since his heart defect caused horrible airway issues for him. We are looking towards going home soon...first time since he has been born!

Marley has been rolling like crazy, babbling up a storm and has become so interactive. She gets so excited when she sees me I feel like her most favorite person in the world!

Matt has had his bowels reattached and ALL of his doctors are very optimistic that he is going to make a full recovery from short gut and we should be heading home with him in the next few weeks.

That is awesome!  I saw a sign once that said "I want to be the kind of person my dog thinks I am" but I want one that says "son"!  Doesn't it just make you feel amazing when they look at you like that?

Butting in...

I completely agree.  There is nothing better than seeing DD's huge smile when I walk in the door after I get back from the gym or doing an errand!  I've only been gone an hour but she's always so excited it makes me feel like a million bucks!
