DH is now really getting on my nerves (Vent kinda long)

DH just irritates me!  I seriously feel that the gods that be planned for some of our husbands to act like ding dongs when we get pregnant so we learn to have more patience.  I start summer vacation next week and go back to work the first week of Sept.  My employer is 60 miles away from us right now and before I got the job DH and I agreed that we would move close to wherever I got work because it is a more promising position with benefits, etc.

 

So 2 weeks ago we had a conversation about it again because we really need to get on situating ourselves before LO comes along.  There were 3 things to be taken care of: 1. Look into another apartment or we move in with my parents for a specified amount of time since they live 10 miles away from work. 2.  Continue saving money and get pre-approved, because either way we?ve been saving money to start looking. 3.  Get on his business plan and setting up his personal business so he can quit his current job so he won?t have to commute anymore and can work from home (this has been going on for years now). 

 

So here we are now?do you think he has even looked for another apartment, asked for the information for the lender, or working on his business plan?!?!  We agreed to move by the end of August because I plan on working until I deliver to spend more time home with the baby and DH after.  Also, we talked about me helping him out with those 3 things but he said he would do it because he hasn?t been helping me out.

 

To add to it today we both get up for work and he tells me ?So?.you know how I signed up for those overtime days?  I say ?yeah?, he says ?well I had them stop deductions so I?ll get the full $1000.?  I?m thinking great, more money to put in the savings OR take one last vacation together before LO comes along.  Then he goes on to say ?Can I buy another Xbox??  Seriously?!?!  Did you just ask me this? 

 

Argh!!!  Vent over.  Thanks for reading.

I don't get it. What kind of deductions did he stop? You mean taxes aren't taken out of it? Because you will owe next year at tax time if that is the case.

Anyway, that is really frustrating that his priorities aren't straight. He needs to grow up! I guess you need to just talk to him about what the plan is. Tell him you need to make a decision and that in a week or two from now, you two can get back together and discuss what you both thought about.

Can you call the lender to get pre-approved for a home loan? It is super easy, I would just start the process myself and then have him sign the papers before you turn them in. It is not like that will make you obligated to get the loan, you will just know what you could get approved for.

I feel your pain. My DH deserves another post similar to this right now, sigh. . .

Yeah, its tax deductions.  He only does it when he works overtime, which is rare so that doesn't bother me.  Me calling the lender just puts everything back on me so he said he would do it.  I think another loooonnnngggg discussion is in order.  It's time to get that firecracker up his butt.
