Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Bald spot on back of head

Do any of your babies still have the bald spots? Both of my girls have thick hair on top but are still baldies in the back. They sleep on their backs. I try to keep them on their tummies for part of the day. I'm just wondering when they outgrow this. Thanks!

  • Prob soon.  Once their hair starts to grow longer.

Ashlyn's bald spot is just about gone...I thought she would have that circle on the back of her head forever!

She has wicked flathead and that is why she had the bald spot but her head is getting to normal shape finally.

This exactly now that she is on her tummy a ton it  is like it got better over night.

  • Good thing you asked, since I was started to get worried about the bold spot on the back of DS's head as well. When he gets really sleepy, he turns his head from left to right pretty fast (it's like a nightly ritual), so I thought that's the reason he's not growing much hair there. But, the other day I started noticing little light hair there, so I guess even his head-turning won't stop the hair growth :)

  • Sasha's bald spot started going away at about that age, and was pretty much completely gone by 9 months. Now there are short little hairs covering it up, it's so cute!
