Anyone else required to have 2 U/S?

Today I called my o/b complaining about some really sharp pains which I'm not assuming are just me growing. But she said she'd called me back to check up on me. Instead I got a phone call from the scheduling people to schedule me ANOTHER u/s on July 20th.

I'm kinda confused why. She said she didn't know because she's just a part of the scheduling office. But I've already had my 19 week big u/s and I had one at 6 weeks to find out how far along I am. July 20 I will be starting my 24th week. 

Has anyone been asked to come back for more? They said my baby looked like a good size. So could they be wrong on my due date and just guessing? We know the gender.

I'm really worried now. I go to my regular prenatal appointment on Monday and I'll ask her then but I'm just curious if anyone else had to do this.

They can't be too worried about something because they are putting it off for another month... If your insurance covers it, jump at the chance to see LO! I would not be concerned, it could just be that office. I have had 4 u/s so far, the last of which they did find something wrong so I will have more with a specialist... Don't worry!

They haven't said I need another one.

I would call your insurance and see if it's covered and if it's not ask the office if the u/s is medically necessary because your insurance isn't covering it.

Maybe then they will be able to give you more information!  Good luck

Agree w/ pp - if anything were wrong wrong, you'ld be in today or tomorrow for an US, not in a month,

I've had 4 with a 5th scheduled for 7/2 and probably bi-weekly after that but I am high risk so that is why... they probably are just being cautious. I would enjoy seeing your baby again!

I'm getting another in August. I had my anatomy u/s this week and my placenta is very low lying, and the baby wouldn't show up his/her stomach- that's my reason for getting another one.

I would just figure they didn't see everything they needed to see at the anatomy ultrasound. Hope everything is OK, I'd call and ask if you are worried.

 I had mine at 20w2d and I don't think I get another ultrasound this pregnancy, but I've already had four.

I tried calling back but it was too late and they had left already. And they're not open on Fridays which is pretty annoying. So I'm just waiting for my appointment on Monday now.

It seemed like we saw everything in the u/s anatomy wise but I don't really know.

I am really excited to see her again. I just find it weird to call with a complaint and the response I got was another u/s.

I think it may just depend on the OB you see.  I get an ultrasound at every single appointment and have done since 8 weeks.
