NBR: Outer Banks, NC

in TTC After a Loss

Anyone been there?  Recommendations for things to do, places to eat?  I'm going with my BIL, SIL and MIL.  Last vacation with them was a disaster.  I'm trying to have a plan if I should need some alone time with DH.

    I lived in Wilmington NC for a couple of years.  But that is about an hour away.  They have a restaurant right on the beach called The Oceanic.  They have the best She Crab Soup ever.  They also have a movie studio that you can tour.  And if you watched Dawson's Creek, you can check out UNC Wilmington.  Which is where they filmed the show.  It was really cool to walk to class and watch them film it.

    So fun! There was a Hurricane when we were down there, and DH and I went to a bar and drank all day. This place has THE BEST Bloody Mary's:

    They have the Wrights Brother Museum and aquarium.  Love the area.  My DH and I got married at Emerald Isle on NC coast.

    See Kitty Hawk, tour cape hatteras and all the light houses, see the night play "the lost colony".  Enjoy the beach...

    We go there every year and stay in Cape Hatteras. There are a ton of lighthouses in the area which are pretty neat to see. There isn't a lot to do in Hatteras which is why we go there. We sit on the beach all day and fish, drink, and sleep.

    OkraCoke is a really neat little island down there. There is a ton to do there and it is so cute!
