2nd Trimester

anyone not worried/concerned with stretch marks?

Honestly, its the least of my worries. I have acne scars (face) and so I figure, whats a couple more?

I know there are a lot of tales about using cocoa butter, this that and the other, and while I mosturize just because I itch, Im focusing more on eating healthier (other than the dang cookies) and walking every day.

Re: anyone not worried/concerned with stretch marks?

  • I figure they are inevitable so why freak over them.

  • Nope.  I got them with the first and I put lotion on all the time and still got them, so I figured, it's a part of pregnancy for me.  They fade pretty well later, but they don't bother me.  With my previous two pregnancies I had low amniotic fluid problems, so I'm far more concerned with that than I am stretch marks.

  • I don't really care about them at all.  I had some before BFP so I wasn't worried about getting my first ones.  I did discover new ones in a very odd spot today, new as in the last two days.  Oh well...

  • I had stretch marks before I got pregnant and I don't care about getting more. I try not to worry about things I have zero control over.

  • My philosophy:  there is nothing you can do about them so why worry?

  • Doesn't even phase me. I got stretch marks as a skinny teen from just growing too fast, at least if I get them this time around there is a legit reason. I haven't even been lotioning up my belly *gasp*.
  • Not worried either. But maybe that's because I had some BEFORE baby :)
  • I'm not worried. My mom didn't get any after having three kids, so I'm hoping I take after her.
  • I had some before I was pregnant..But my DH points new ones out..lol..I dont care and neither does he..I know he thinks I'm hot lol  Wink  So it doesnt bother me..I do but lotion on but it doesnt really help..

  • I already had them on my hips/butt and breasts, so I don't really care.  I'm thinking of them as battle scars!
  • i really don't care if i get them.  It's pregnancy...it has its side effects.  Can't avoid them if you are goign to get them, so it's ONE less thing I take the time to worry about.
  • I could care less. I had a few before getting pregnant and they didn't bother me then. I just noticed earlier this week that my previous ones are just getting bigger. They weren't too visible before, and now the "new growth" is red.  Just means my baby bump is growin'! Woot!

    Well said! I agree!

  • I didn't get any with either of my first pregnancies so I'm not really worried about them this time around.  If I do get them, however, I don't think that I'll get upset about them.  They'll be a badge of honor for carrying 3 babies!  =)
  • I don't worry over them...if they appear oh well nothing I can do about it :)
  • I named mine, yo.

I couldn't give two shiits about getting more stretch marks.  I look at this as an awesome reason to NEVER feel the pressure of "bikini season" again in my life.

  • Nope not worried.

  • I never worried about the ones I got when I got fat after high school, and I'm not worried about the ones I might get from being pregnant. DH loves me and my stretch marks. Who else do I have to impress?
  • I have DH rub cocoa butter on my stretch marks.  I know it doesn't change them, but I really just want him to rub my stomach...shhhhh, don't tell him.
  • I'm not freaking about them.  I got them with my 1st so what's a few more, right?  lol  My doc told me that if I'm gonna get 'em no amount of cream or anything else can stop it.  He did say that moisturizing is good for itching tho.
  • I already have so many that I not sure any place left for them to show up.  I have a couple of growth spurts one in 5th grade I kind of came all at one time and got them on my boobs and thighs.  Then had a little depression streak my early twenties and gained a lot of weight very quickly and got more of them.
