I try so hard every year not to give presents to someone before the day....well I failed again.  I gave DH his fathers day gift last night.  I bought him a new spiffy smoker that he was all too excited to get.  I just wish I would have waited so that fathers day would be special for him....now all he gets is a card.    However this does mean I will come home tonight to smoked pork and smoked corn.  I guess there are worse things in life then giving a present too soon, I just wish I had some damn self restraint!!!!

and to add to it Ads already got her b-day present from Jas and I....along with from my mom.  So at least I come buy it naturally right?

I'm the exact same way Tami. I've almost given Lorne his Father's Day present five times this past week. FIVE.

But gift giving is SOOOO much fun!! It's hard not to do it early. When you have a super great gift to give, I swear it's like you're having entirely more fun than the receiver! It's the best. ?A smoker is a GREAT gift idea. I'm writing that down!

It's better than my problem.  DH's birthday was last week and I was too busy puking to get him anything.  I told him I'd catch him on Father's Day.  LoL I still haven't made it out to get him anything.  So, early is better than never!! 

And yay for a yummy dinner tonight!!

Lorne is a beer nerd, and Stone Brewery (just north of San Diego) offers beer tastings and classes about the history of certain types of beers. He's been wanting to go to one since we found out they offer them, but we keep missing them for whatever reason. I bought him tickets for he and his friends to one of their beer history & tasting classes, and two tickets to a beer & cheese tasting (that I'd like to go to, but one of his friends is also a beer nerd, so I won't be offended if he takes the friend).

He's had a couple stressful meetings this last week, I keep wanting to say, "Here's a reason to be happy!!!" but I think he'll appreciate me keeping a lid on the surprise better.

NP- I love beer nerds....or maybe i just love beer?  Jas brews his own beer so I get the beer nerd thing!!  Lorne will love that!

 

Nykola- the smoker gift was a little selfish too as I have been wanting him to smoke me bacon and his old smoker would not get hot enough...so well now I get homemade BACON!!!

I used to be the same way! Christmas, b-day...everything would be given early. I'm much better now, but DH still tries to give me my gifts early. Its so hard not to!
