Help! Holy repelling Batman! It's like the suedecloth is the PUL!

Ok, I need to strip and strip bad apparently.  I just got some new pocket diapers and I thought I'd prepped them correctly, but I just tested one and absolutely nothing soaks through I could eat ceral and milk out of these puppies.  And it seems that having washed them with my old BG OS pockets now my BGs are pretty repelant too.  Aaaaah!

So I turned up my water heater and I'm boiling a big pot of water on the stove.  I know I use Dawn.  Anything else I'm supposed to be doing to get these suckers more absorbant?  Help!  Bahhh!

    I put a folded up paper towel inside and poured water on.  The water just rolled around the suedecloth and after about a minute I pulled the paper towel out and it wasn't even damp!

    just pouring it on, it will pool up.  pee comes out at a much stronger force than you think.  and the water has to be warm.  if you have, say a peri bottle, you could fill it up with pretty warm water and squirt that on it and see what happens.  ;)

    I've done this myself and was wondering why the heck my diapers were repelling soo soon ;)

    Oh good!  I never thought about that.  Well, they're being hot washed with Dawn anyways which shouldn't hurt.  I only "tested" them because all of the sudden DD is waking up with a wet bed and clothes but a not so wet diaper.  :o(  So I'm hoping this will help.

    hey, a stripping every now and then never hurts ;)  and better safe than sorry.  and I hope that it helps as well!! :)
