Going to Register

When did you register?  My DH is very excited because our big US is today and he wants to run out and start shopping.  I don't want to start registering yet but then as I read on here how overwhelmed some of you have been I'm wondering if we should spread it out and do an hour or two here and there so it is not so overwhelming. 

 I was thinking about waiting another month or so before we started to actually register.

Many people start the process after their big u/s.  DH and I had done a few walk throughs of BRU looking at things we liked and making notes.  We then went and registered in the store and we have since updated a few things online.

We registered a week after our big u/s.  We registered at 2 stores in a matter of 3 hours.  I had done a ton of research prior to going to the store, so all we had to do was scan the barcodes.  I highly recommend doing research to figure out what items and brands you want and have a list to mark off as you go. It was a breeze for us.

We registered the weekend after our big u/s. I didn't find registering stressful at all.  We had been looking through everything online and reading baby bargins, so we had a pretty good idea of what we wanted when we went into the stores. I definately think if you do your research before you won't have to spread it out.  You can always edit your registries online later as well.

Thanks ladies!  That really helps and puts me at ease.  I have been making a list ever since I got pregnant and have reading a lot of safety stuff on different items.  I guess maybe we will try to do some registering this weekend.  Didn't want it to seem too early.

I registered for a lot of stuff online, the nursing stuff, diaper pails, etc.....  The stuff you do not need to actually see in person to pick out.  I am trying to keep my husband from being overwhelmed.  So we can go to the store to register for the fun stuff, like sheets, strollers, car seats, swings, etc....  I am also registering for EVERYTHING we need, not to get it as a gift, but instead as a dependable list, that I can not lose in my absent minded state.  Happy Shopping!!!
