While researching Huggies Pure & Natural

I came across this gem. Tell me why Huggies in Australia will put the chlorine question on their FAQ's but Huggies in USA will not (see here for link show lack of FAQ addressing this).

How annoying!!

Hmm... I figured the dipes were bleached, and I figured it was with chlorine.    I got some free samples in the mail.  I don't understand why they have to be bleached at all, really--the Seventh Generation ones aren't.  (Also, why can't they be plain?  Why do they have to be advertisements for Disney?  blech.)

  • I don't understand why Australia goes out of their way to not use chlorine bleach and why USA wouldn't? I mean I know standards and stuff are different but I'm just annoyed. I'm left to assume the the USA version of Pure & Natural uses chlorine. Blah

I've come to loathe the word "natural."  It means nothing, esp. when it comes to food packaging.  Now they're ruining "pure" too, if it's meant to include chemicals.  Aarghh.

  • They do what is most cost effective is my guess. If people in Australia are more concerned with chrlorine then it is in their interest to use an alternative but most people in the US seem quite content to not even know how their diapers are produced and what they are made of so why bother to change it? That is my guess anyway...
  • Umm yea, I didn't even think about using these. ?They seem like a bunch of made up hype to me.
