Babies: 9 - 12 Months

s/o kids who kick pigeons/sociopaths

There are a couple sociopaths-in-training at my community pool. They hit other kids, steal baby toys when the parents aren't looking and are just all around horrible. On Saturday I saw the main kid steal a baby float when the mother had her back turned, PURPOSELY BREAK IT, throw away the parts he didn't want. When the mother figured out what was going on and asked for it back he said, "but I want it." His mother was less than 10 feet away from him the entire time and said NOTHING.

Sometimes I am so scared for when Mer goes to school and spends entire days with under-parented brats.

EDIT - fixed typo

  • I have a sociopath in the family.  Fun times.

  • Wow, that is really awful!  Yes, school is going to be stressful.  I am a teacher and I am dreading it.

  • I was just thinking the other day about the kids Jack will be going to school with! ?It's a scary thought.?
  • As a therapist, I can tell you that sociopaths start doing this crap when they're little.  Here in Miami, there's an 18 year old kid that they arrested because he mutilated and killed 19 cats!!!  Everyone is saying that he's so charming and nice, but aren't all sociopaths like that?  They gain your trust by being charming and nice but lack a basic human emotion: empathy.  I'm scared to send DD to school also.  Very scary.
  • This is one of the reasons why homeschool is so appealing to me.
