Coughing up milk

My DS is 9.5 months old and hasn't spit up after nursing for months. However, in the past week, he has been coughing up/throwing up his milk 1-2 times a day. He will nurse fine, and act totally normal, then a few minutes later he'll just randomly start coughing and making almost a hiccup noise and all this milk will come up.

His diapers are fine, he doesn't act bothered at all, and he is still eating all his solids normally (3 meals a day). I haven't really changed anything in my eating patterns and am just wondering what is up!  I feel so bad seeing all that milk come up b/c I know he isn't getting that "meal" after we just nursed.  Any ideas?
