My convo with DH

Me: So DH, what do you want to do on Sunday?  Have lots of family time or lots of alone time?

DH: Um, well what are we doing on Saturday?

Me: Um,  I'm throwing the baby shower, and we have a bbq at our house that night.  (Lots of eye rolling here, I've been planning this for MONTHS and he is just clueless)

DH:  Well, I guess alone time since I'll be all "peopled out" from Saturday. 

Me: Um okay, really? 

DH:  Yeah, why, what's Sunday?

Me:  It's Father's Day!!! 

DH:  Oh, father's day?


Seriously ladies, I have the world's most clueless husband.  WTF?

    lol. maybe you should make him a calendar with all important things written in it for Father's Day .

    Not to make light of it, but the other extreme is a husband who is hyper controlling and demanding and has to have everything just so.... Just ask any woman married to a man like that and she'd probably swap you in a heartbeat. 

    My husband is somewhat like that too - just really laid back and goes with the flow. Sometimes, when I think something is really important, he fails to see what the big fuss is about.... I'm sorry you are frustrated though.
