Babies on the Brain

I hate being asked when we are going to TTC again.

Since the loss it seems everyone wants us to have another child.  If we say we do not plan on having another baby, we get the "You have to!" or the "Allie needs a sibling" comments.  DH's family is the worst.  He is the last "C" and they feel we need to carry the family name.  I am not sure who thought it was up to us.  If they are that worried about the name they need to get started on adoption or having another child. It is my ute and body.  I will pick if I want another child or not.  Vent over.

Ugh. People need to keep there noses out of other peoples business. Even if you had another baby what if it was a girl. Would you have to just keep on knocking them out until you got to a boy?

Apparently so.  My GMIL had 3 boys and 2 girls.  1 of her sons had 4 girls before his wife said no more, FIL had DH and the 3rd son died.  Now everyone is putting pressure on us for the boy.  If they were so worried about the family name, they should have gotten busy.  FIL's boy cousins all had girls too. DH is seriously the only hope.

Same for us. DH is the only boy, his sisters are all way older, and his dad was brought out on the Orphan Train. We are the only chance to pass on the name. Nothing like pressure.

Hell, my DH can hardly get it up without the pressure of TTC.  Can you imagine the pressure of TTC a boy!? We would never have sex.

Haha DH's father was an orphan (and only child) who only had aunts.  BIL married a woman a decade older than him with a grown son and no desire for more.  DH's family is screwed.

Yeah, DH and I feel the same way.  Sorry the name is dying with him.  His dad and uncle should have thought about that.  What I think is the most irritating is that his dad knows our problems.  We are an open book with him.  He knows I have a hormone imbalance and had bleeding problems along with a thin ute.  He knows DH has erectile dysfunction.   Yet he still pressures us.

  • DH is the last in his family to carry on his last name too. There is a lot of pressure for a boy, I guess we'll just pray for a boy first!
