Why does the fever always go away right BEFORE you see the Dr?

For those of you that remember my post about my little Gabe from this morning, his ears and chest are clear. He was still warm, but nowhere near the 102 from this morning. He said he's probably just cutting some teeth, he also said he hopes to see me on Friday because I look like I'm going to explode lol! He gets a pass though because he is the best pediatrician in town.
