Hello! A little back story... DH and I have been trying off and on for over a year 1/2 to conceive with IF drs. On 6/5 we found out we are expecting our first. Over this past weekend, I was experiencing lots of pain/cramping in my lower abdomonal area and lower back and some spotting, so I called the dr first thing Monday. He did an u/s and saw three sacs and told us we are having triplets and said everything looked great, but too soon for any heartbeats and just asked to see me in a week. Re: Newbie to The Bump/Multiples...
Congrats x 3 and welcome to the board!! It is overwhelming to learn you're having multiples, especially after trying for so long to have just one. The book most of us on here will recommend is Dr. Luke's "When You're Expecting Twins, Triplets or Quads". It really explains how different a multiple pregnancy is and what you need to do for you and your babies in regards to eating, resting, working, etc. One note - take the food recommendations as a guideline, no one can eat everything she recommends every day but you do want to try and follow the types of food and frequency of meals and overall weight gain goals. Good luck and feel free to ask as many questions as you need to!
congrats and welcome!
Dr. Luke's book is a great place to start- will help you with a lot of questions you'll have for your docs, on here, etc.
best of luck!
