Cottonbabies sent me enough velcro replacement kits to take care of all of my BG OS, so that's great. Looks pretty easy, too. But I was wondering - anyone who has done it - anything you found that made it easier (or more difficult!) to tackle?
I just called the customer service # on the BG website (which is also Cottonbabies). Mine are well over a year old, so I didn't expect them to live up to the warranty or anything. I just asked if they had a recommended way to make them stick better. She said that they had replacement velcro (for both the waist tabs and the laundry tabs) and sent out two packages, gratis. I was pretty impressed by how helpful they were.
Interestingly, she did say that they have far fewer problems with velcro wearing out from their European customers. So they looked into it, and found that most people are line-drying them most of the time, and their American customers were machine drying most of the time. I think that for New Baby, I'll get a clothes horse and dry them in the basement; I usually run them in the dryer overnight anyway, so it is not like I will lose any time.
