I've created a monster.

So, we told my mom and brother last night!! She was so SHOCKED!  All she could say, over and over, was "OH MY GOD!!"

After repeating that for about 5 minutes she starting screaming about all the shopping she's going to be able to do and how she's going to decorate the nursery at her house (she lives a block from us mind you).  She asked if we're going to find out the sex of the baby, we told her no we're waiting, then she wanted to know if she could find out...you know, so the nursery was ready.  :)  Um, no mom.  She's already calling the baby Little Addie (her name is Adeline) and she told us she's going to call the baby that regardless of baby's actual name and it doesn't matter if its a boy or a girl.  She was mostly joking.  Stick out tongue  We were laughing so hard!

Don't worry, she isn't actually a whacko, just SUPER excited, this is her first grandbaby.

    Oh, and then she sent me a text about 9pm...apparently I have to eat omega 3's everyday so the baby will have a high IQ, she saw that on Oprah.

    Yeah, glad it went well.  During my whole pregnancy my Dad's partner, Jorge, called my tummy "Kate".  He was sure it was a girl and said he was going to call the baby that no matter what.. drove me crazy.  Thank god he was a boy, because Kate was not on our short list.

    Awwww that's cute she's so excited!!! 

    Sounds like my mom!  When we told her about baby #2 she screamed to my dad "RON! I'M HAVING A BABY!!!"  LoL no I am but ok?!?  And when Gage was born I thought my mom was going to put on gloves and try to deliver him herself!  I had to keep telling her to back up in the delivery room!!  LoL

    Oh how exciting. Glad it went well. Sounds just like my Mom. Mom's sure do go pretty crazy for their first grandbabies. My Mom was so excited when I told her about ours that she almost punched my sister in the face because she was jumping up and down so much lol.

    Aww hearing this made my day. I just want to say that I LOVE your mom already.  I think it hilarious that she is going to have a nursery in her house!! I love it!

    Too cute!! Our mom's could be best friends, my mom is also super excited. She calls my future baby Herme (it's a long story), and she has a really nice crib she got for free from another grandma who's grandbaby barely used it. I love how excited she is, I think it's sweet. Smile

    Mom's are normal - grandmothers are crazy! I always say women become moms so that they can become grandmothers.
