Mama/Baby swim class= FAIL!

We started "waterbabies" class yesterday at a local pool and it was a huge fail. My ds was the only child that cried...and boy did he cry, the entire time! I really hope he get's used to it so it's better next time. They make it really fun with songs, games, and rubber duckies. Only 5 more sessions to go!

Awww....I hope it gets better for him. Does he like the tub? And do you take him swimming with you?

We started ours last weekend. DD had a great time! I am sure he will get more used to it. Is the pool you go to heated? The instructors told us that some babies have a hard time adjusting to the cooler water of an unheated pool.

Aww, that's too bad!  We just completed our class a few weeks ago and although DS always had a wonderful time there always was one or two kids who weren't have a good day and it was always a different one.  So maybe next time will be better for you two!

I hope so. He loves baths and the pool wasn't cold at all. I'm hoping he was just having an off day.

DS was scared at first, too, but he really got into it after about two classes. I bet your DS will, too.

And don't feel badly about the crying. He might have been the only one in that class but I can guarantee he isn't the only one they've had cry through a class before. It happens a lot. The pool we went to had two classes on at a time and there was always someone crying.
