So yesterday I posted, asking how many BH contractions were too many in an hour - well after going into my doctors office, they realized that I was having REAL contractions (7-8 an hour), I am 1cm dialated and 80% effaced -EEEKKK!
So they sent me down to triage to get monitored - I was still having contractions, so they gave me nifedipine. That didn't work, so they gave me an IV and a shot of terbutaline. That finally worked, but I have to take it every 6 hours for the next 2 weeks so that it continues to stop my contractions. Plus, I am on bedrest for the next 2 weeks.
Fingers crossed my little guy stays in there for the next 2 weeks!!!!
Re: BH Contractions? Nope -REAL CONTRACTIONS!
OMG! I am so glad you went in! Keep baking little boy!
Thanks ladies - it started off as menstral cramps on Sunday and turned contractions. At first I thought it was nothing, but I am so glad I called and caught them in time!
Pearly - sending my unwanted contractions your way........NOW!
Glad you went in, it's getting so close. Bed rest is no fun, have your dh stock up on any chick flicks or magazines like. And have lots of snacks, fruit, goodies in the kitchen, I found myself much hungrier knowing I couldnt go anywhere.

EEEEK! Geez this is really starting to happen huh? Craziness. I hope Shane can stock you up on all kinds of good movies and stuff for your bed rest :-(
Stay in there little man!
Same question as pp - Can you still get the steroid shots? I got them at 33w2d and when my girls were born at 34w5d they didn't need any breathing help.
Good luck and hopefully your baby boy will keep cooking!
Unable to even.

You don't understand the appeal of Benedict Cumberbatch / think he's fug / don't know who he is? WATCH SHERLOCK. Until you do, your negative opinion of him will not be taken seriously.
To answer the question regarding steriods - YES! They planned on giving me the steriod shots if the terbutaline didn't work. The next step was magnisum sulfate and a steriod shot.
Thank you all so much for the "stay put" vibes. I know bedrest will suck, but Shane took today off to get me all situated with food, movies, magazines, pillows, etc. He is getting the hospital bags fully packed and the carseat installed JUST incase. To me, 2 weeks is totally worth it if it means Jackson will be healthy and we get to take him home with us!
