What is your earliest memory?

I remember going to visit our house when it was being built. I was 3. I remember this pretty vividly. I had a bucket and I was picking rocks out of what would be flower gardens. The boys from the house across the street can over and started bugging me, so I ran away.

I was thinking this weekend that DS is 4 1/2 so he may remember stuff from this time when he is older.

I have one memory that young, of my father putting on a puppet show for us. Although he died when I was 2 1/2 so I may have made that up in my head.

I remember trying to blow in a conch shell in Hawaii when I was 2.5 and wondering why it wouldn't work (if you do it right it sounds like a horn).  My mom tells me we were at a luau sitting around by the pigroast.

I remember watching Jaws at the dinner table. Thanks Dad.

I also remember being at the Lake where my grandparents had a cabin. I was playing at the shore and my mom finally decided to go in the boat (she was scared to go in it). I just remember screaming and stuff flying. Someone had a broom. Apparently there was a water moccasin in the boat and everyone was freaking out trying to get it out of the boat.

I had recurring nightmares for years after that.

I guess these 2 things scarred me as a child. I am terrified of water.

The earliest that I can think of, I think I was around 3.  We have these professional photos that my mom had taken, and I very clearly remember lying on my parents' bed watching my mom get my brother dressed before we went to get them taken, and a couple years ago when I saw those photos, I mentioned to my mom that I remembered my brother's socks had little sail boats on them, but you couldn't see that in the photo.

I was almost 2 yrs old and broke my collarbone...the only part i remember was getting the xray....I remember this very vividly

My earliest memories were when I lived in Germany.  I remember an abundant amount of snow and wearing a pink snowsuit.  I was about 3.

I have a handful of vague fuzzy memories from around 3 years old- playing in a stream and throwing rocks, sitting in the back of my dad's car and listening to the Eddie Rabbit song "Love a Rainy Night," my parents fighting, being in my mom's car and hearing John Cougar's "Hurt So Good," going to the hospital when my sister was born, being at a picnic shelter at some park and falling in the gravel cutting my head...

I remember climbing out of my crib.  I told my mom where my crib was placed in the room when I did it.  I remember climbing out and thinking, "now what?"

I also remembering having a horrible stomach virus (i.e. diarrhea) and walking through a store and crapping my pants--they were red courduroy pants.    I went to the doctor's office for the virus and it took several people holding me down to take my temp--NOT in my mouth, obviously.  My mom said I was 2 1/2.

I'm wondering now what DD's first memory might be because she has a phenomenal memory already.

i remember meeting our new neighbors who had 2 kids.  the girl was older than me and became my first best friend.  i guess I came on a little too strong b/c I remember trying to talk to her and she tried climbing the chain link fence to get away. lol  i was around 3.

Jumping off of my raft/boat thing into the ocean. I was 3, and went under for like half a second but remember it being forever. I told everyone I saw dolphins and whales, lol.
