Surprise! pregnant with 2nd

My first born son is 9-1/2 months old, born Sept 5th.  Our 2nd is due Oct. 28th.  I was just wondering if maybe you ladies who already have 2 under two could give me a sense of how the next year-year and a half will be... My husband leaves Aug. 31st on military orders and won't be back until our newest is 5 months old.  Can I even survive?  Should I consider moving in with my parents for the time being?  Do you ever feel your first born was shorted on attention?  Just... feeling overwhelmed today.

Honestly, unless you have a very strong support system where you are stationed and/or your family is close by, move in with your parents. It's definitely do-able, but being on your own with 2 will be very very tough. It would probably help put your DH's mind at ease knowing the 3 of you are well taken care of.

I don't have any advice -- just wanted to tell you that my first was also born in September and I am also due with #2 right around Halloween. It seems like a lot of people on this board are closer to 18 months to 2 years apart so I'm glad to see someone else having two as close as me. I always tell myself that plenty of people survive just fine with twins. This can't be harder than that, right?
