POISON IVY!!

Hi there,

normally a lurker but my 3 y/o has come into contact wiht poison ivy...ya fun times...it's really bad on her arms, with a few patches on herface.  Went to the Dr and he prescribed a steroid cream twice daily...if anybody has had experience with this how long does it take before i see some sort of improvement?? I went out and bought some calamine as well.....so worried about scarring though.
