My pabst: you create drama from the most benign situations. Honest to God, if you really had something serious happen in your life, I can't imagine how you would react.
My FFF mom confession: where do I start. I have zero guilt going on business trips and I enjoy getting alone time from DD and DH.
My son has watched the Handy Manny DVD (entire thing) 3 times today. He got it for his birthday and it's toddler meth. I can't cope with the meltdown when I say no so I let him do it.
Tomorrow - handy manny detox.

ok. My grandfather is on his deathbed--he got moved this week from nursing care to hospice--and I have absolutely NO desire to go see him. The only reason I'm going tonight is out of respect for my mom. I feel no emotional connection to him.
The man's been "on his deathbed" for the past 5-7 years now. Doctors have given him weeks to live and he's bounced back. He's like a lump, can't see, can't hear, all he does is eat, poop, sleep and talk. He's put my mom through hell taking care of him, and the older he gets, the more selfish he becomes. It's insane. He needed to die years ago, because my mom/aunts are suffering just taking care of him and watching him suffer, and everyone else resents him because of it.
I don't know what he did in his life where he's being put through so much now, but jeebus, it must have been a lot.
Yeah, I'm a cold, heartless biitch.

The kids are in the backyard in their bathing suits with a hose making a huge mud pit right next to our garabage containers. It's kind of grossing me out but I don't feel like moving the garbage and recycling and they are sooo happily entertained. Oh and though it's not flameful to me I supposed it could be frowned upon that I am inside on the 'puter and the kids are in the backyard unsupervised (though I can hear them) playing with water.
We have to drive two hours to go to my niece's birthday party on Sunday. I would rather take a beating. My niece is a colossal brat and I loathe my BIL. He's seriously the biggest idiot I think I've ever met.

Ugh, noooo... you guys are doing the not-really-flammable-confession thing! Who doesn't enjoy some alone time? (Oh and FWIW, I also do the TV thing w/DD and Calliou, that show on Sprout? She loves it so much, I let her watch it. A LOT.)
Ok, ok, I'll do mine, then.
I kind of judge ppl a little bit when they are overweight, do nothing about it, and complain about it. You can complain about it if you're really trying to get healthier by dieting and exercise, and it's going roughly. Or if you have a very real problem due to a disease that is actually known for CAUSING weight gain - like a thyroid problem, or PCOS. But I really can't stand to hear excuses. Even if you have a medical problem, you could probably still do something. The medical problem isn't making you eat unhealthily, or making you not learn up on what is and isn't a healthy diet. And I really doubt any Dr. worth his/her salt would tell you that you are absolutely forbidden to do any sort of exercise whatsoever. There are so many different kinds - you can't work around it? You can't go for a walk? You don't have to be a Skinny Minnie - heck, you don't even have to do anything - just don't complain about it if you choose to do nothing, or use a bunch of BS excuses.

Thank you, happ, this is a real confession! And FWIW, no you're not - my G'pa is the same way - I totally get you.

uh...this isn't flammable. ITA. sometimes, I can't even watch really, really fat people eat. Buffets are the worst. It's like feeding time at the zoo. I also hate it when I'm sick because I can't breathe while I'm eating and have to breathe out my mouth and get out of breath, I say I'm eating like a superfat person.
Wow, I am SO going to hell.

Lol, no you are not! I've felt like saying this ever since I saw a post by a nestie (I can't remember who) who posted about not being able to lose weight b/c of a medical problem - she never did say what it was. Everyone just kind of supported her. I wanted to say something, but it's hard to do that when no one else is.
At work today I made the pg girl go in the dishroom because she is lazy and uses her pg as a crutch/disability. I know what its like to be pg and work a job where you are on your feet all.day.long. I worked at walmart in the deli all 38 wks, 3 days I was pg with Landon. I never once expected or asked anyone to do any part of my job. I told myself and dh that if/when I couldnt do my job anymore while pg I would take a leave of absence.
This girl is seriously L.A.Z.Y. She told me the first day I met her that she was very inactive her first pg and that she didnt want to work this pg but had too. She said that her first pg all she did was lay in bed and watch tv and play on the computer and that that is what she wants to do this time. Now she is stuck working a job and is putting work off on others so she can be lazy. She says she is cramping, bleeding, hurting etc every.single.day. She has only worked where I do for about 3-4wks and I cant wait until she goes on maternity leave and hope she doesnt come back. So, today I made her go in the dish room. Its not hard and she wont hurt herself or the baby while doing any part of it. She just doenst like to do the work,

How is this flammable?
I do the same thing. You eat a Big Mac with fries and a Coke for lunch every day, after your Dunkin Donuts breakfast with a 500 calorie Starbucks coffee, and try to tell me that "I have a glandular problem?"
The only glandular problem you have is that your salivary glands are sorely overworked.

B/c a lot of the ppl that do the excuse thing think that their excuses are really legitimate, like the nestie I mentioned above who I can't remember. Then, when they're supported by a bunch of ppl who do the same thing, if you try to call them out on it, they flame you and say you "can't understand" b/c you're skinny. Trust me, man... ppl do not like to be called out on their BS... some issues, like weight, are hard to touch b/c there is such a movement of anti-discrimination that ppl think you're being discriminatory if you say anything at all, even if it's reasonable.
And wow, it is really slow today. Maybe if we do this again, we should start earlier, but damned if there doesn't seem to be too much interest... I'm really surprised!
Re: FRIDAY FLAME FREE CONFESSIONS
Seriously? No one has anything...?
Beuller?
I would post something, but *I* don't wanna get flamed if no one else does...
