the kids have individual baskets in a cabinet above the sink where their bibs, utensils, cups etc. are, and that is where they keep any meds. If they need to be refridgerated, I think they put them on the top shelf in the back.
We have to label all meds (I have Tylenol for each of my girls) and each class has a locked box with the meds in itl. This box is kept in the office in alocked cabinet that is up high. If there are meds that need to be refrigerated, it is either in the infant room fridge (where the breast milk and other stuff is kept) or in the kitchen which is off limits to all the kids. The few times that my kids have been on prescription meds that they need to take during the day, it has been put into the locked cabinet in the office once out of the infant room. In the infant room, they have a space to keep it that is way out of reach of the little ones but easier for the staff than having to go to the office as they can't easily leave the room where the older rooms - when they need to leave, can always have a few kids walk down to the office with them to keep the staff ratios where they need to be.
oh, exceptions are sunscreen and diaper cream. These are in their diaper boxes and the teachers can put those on directly as long as you've signed the form okaying that.
Neither daycare DD has been in will store meds overnight. They go home every day. During the day prescription meds are in the director's office or the staff room fridge.
Re: If you leave meds. at daycare where do they store them?
