i'm all about reusable items but whoa ... and i quote "That's a great idea! Personally I don't use tampons (unless I absolutely have to), but I like that you've come up with a reusable product, as this is one aspect of why I don't use them regularly. I may have to make some for emergencies!"
Re: If you ever feel the need to handknit your own tampon, here you go.

That's what grosses me out about this stuff, things that are reusable that hold body fluids. EW.
I LOVE this quote:
"I make no guarantee that they won't kill you or make your genitalia unhappy with you."
Liam is 5!
I figure that they're not really much different than a cloth diaper in that regard.
It's not the reusable that gets me. It's three things.
One, that would not be very absorbant.
B, that would unroll like a mofo when you pulled it out and be a big huge gloppy mess.
Pineapple, then you'd have to make a wet bag to put it in.
Homemade pads, fine, you can wrap 'em up/roll them up in themselves, then stick in a bag. Can't do that w/that thing.
Exactly. The reusable part doesn't bother me so much as just the schematics/logistics of the thing.
Plus, the thought of someone mistakenly using a really cheap acrylic yarn and then putting it in their hoo-hah? Ouch.
You take my ovaries, I take your yarns.
It just looks so uncomfortable. And as Cleo said, there's the unrolling/mess thing.
Ick.

I see what you're saying, but... yet...baby poop/pee doesn't gross me out like this does. LOL I'm weird I guess.
