I was awakened at 6am by my child kicking his door. I turned the monitor off and went back to sleep. M gets back from his run and hears the kicking, sees the turned off monitor, and judges me. He quiets down for about twenty minutes, then I hear "MOMMEH, it's wake up time!" I go get him up.
And the whining starts. O. M. G. He whined about me picking him up to carry him downstairs. He wanted up, then he wanted down. Then he whined about which part of the stair rail I held on to while I was walking down. Then he whined about breakfast. You name it, he whined about it. The more ridiculous and pointless, the more the whining.
He is now at school. I am sitting here nesting and drinking my coffee. Obviously he was happy to get to school, I got a kiss and a "bye mommeh." I'm feeling a little guilty, I was going to leave him home today. But, his playset is being assembled today and I was afraid we would be stuck in the house while the people are here. Stuck in the house with a 2.5 year old is so not happening.
I think my ears are bleeding from all the whining.

Did Will & Samantha trade places this morning? Because that's her normal morning routine. Today she was fine. LOL
Don't feel guilty - you are both happier right now than you would be otherwise.
