Pediatrician : Meet & Greet Questions

We are doing a meet and greet with our first choice pediatrician next Tuesday. What kinds of questions should I ask?

Since this is our first child, I have no idea what to expect!

Here's what I learned recently: We're doing a meet and greet with a new pediatrician for us because we've had some issues with Delaney's.

I would ask: How many well child visits per year do you recommend? Will you tell me how many my insurance will provide? (If you're interested in a different shot schedule, I would ask how much will you be charged for shot only visits).

One thing our pediatrician has that we LOVE are his walk in hours; and I would want to see how electronic their records are.

• Do you accept my insurance? (It doesn't hurt to double-check.)
• Which hospital are you affiliated with?
• If my baby needs treatment at birth, are you able to provide services at the hospital where I'm delivering?

• Tell me about your background: How long have you been a doctor, and how long have you been in this practice?
