DS will cry if a stranger talks, laughs or screams really loudly near him. Any drills or other loud noises outside will sometimes make him cry, I just never see any other baby crying at these things, especially at the people talking loudly thing
My ds cries when people talk to loudly or a lot of people are talking at once (he is not a good party baby!). Oddly enough, he doesn't mind loud cars/trucks/construction noise - it's people talking that gets to him!
My DS does the same thing. He has gotten a lot better lately, but at one point I was getting worried. Anything that was loud, would start a crying fit. We went to a restaurant where they just start singing and dancing out of the blue. Well, that was enough to put him over the top.
I attributed this to the fact that he got tubes put in his ears in March when he was 7 months old. Well for 4 months prior, his ears had been full of fluid. So everything that he heard was muffled. So once the fluid was taken out and he could hear clearly, the loud noises were really loud for him. It has been 3 months now since the tubes were placed adn it seems like it is getting a little better. But he still does not like really loud noises.
Whenever we go to my ILs house, DS inevitably cries from the noise. It's usually FIL's voice, although I think he is blissfully unaware of how loudly he comes across to babies. My laugh made a baby cry once--not something I'm proud of.
DS just now started crying at the vacuum. It was never a problem in the past, but I think the noise just startles him now. I always assumed it was normal at this age.
Yes. Loud voices, dogs barking, vacuum cleaner that is really loud. Even if a baby is being really loud crying she gets upset. She will cry & even shake from too loud a noise.
DS cries when I use the mini food processor. Even when I try to prepare him for it and I look at him and smile the whole time for him to know it's ok, he cries every single time with that.
Yes, he is such a little oddball, lol. He even cries when we use our packing tape!
LOL DS cried once when we ripped the tape of the bag of wipes!
Yes! Mine too. She also cries when I turn on the blender or use the Magic Bullet. Also, for some weird reason, when I change her diaper pail- the noise of the bag (its right next to head when she is laying on the changing table). She doesnt cry with loud talkers- but mostly that screeching, plastic bag crinkling, tape ripping type noises.
Yes, especially if he's tired or if he's not being held. Strangely enough when I vacuum I put him in the sling and he always falls asleep. I think he mostly hates sudden, short bursts of noise.
