I just did it for the 2nd time since we have lived here (3 yrs) I usually use the swiffer and man alive were the floors disgusting! I didn't even realize how much the swiffer DOESN'T get. Yuck!
Never have, never will. I do wet mop weekly. I may get down and get the corners by hand but that's about it. Plus I just bought a Shark Steam Mop which I love. I used it after wet mopping and it still pulled up dirt.

I have gotten on my hands and knees twice in the 3 years we've lived in our house. I usually borrow my mom's Eureka steamer about once a month and call it good.
Yes, I scrub the floor on my hands and knees. I have a mop for quick touch ups but I don't feel like it does a good job at really getting everything clean.
I have for spot cleaning but not since I was little have I been on my hands and knees to scrub the floor. ?I think that my grandma still does regularly.
Re: do you mop on your hands and knees?
IMO: Mopping=using a mop. Scrubbing=hands and knees.
I only scrub the floors on rare occasions.
We sweep and mop every other day now, but not on our hands and knees. I didn't know that was considered mopping?????
swiffer is not the tool I use when I want things really clean. it's great for quick little touch ups but not for REAL cleaning.
I use a mop and mop detergent or vinegar so no hands and knees here. I'd be sooo sore!
