Godd Morning Ladies, I hope you are having a good Tuesday so far.

I have a quick question. I finally received my first AF since losing our little boy at 24 weeks. I started on Sat, 06/06 with some spotting then Sun with flow. So, would I consider today CD4 or CD3? Also, How heavy is the flow suppose to be? Yesterday wasnt too bad but this morning, I've had to change a regular size tampon each hour. I can't handle the super size ones. The ones I purchased say they are suppose to hold up to 8 hours...?!?! I didn't even think it was healthy to have them in that long... but changing it every hour doesnt seem right either.... Have any of you gone thru this with your first AF? Or should I call my doctor about it? I'm not really stressing but just would like to know if Im not the only that went thru this and wasnt sure whats normal and whats not.

Sorry if this was TMI but from lurking on this board and others I'm not sure if anything is TMI anymore.  Wink

    HI there!  Yah my first AF after delivering Grace was awful!  It was kinda all over the place.  One day was real light, then heavy the next, then spotting, then crazy heavy..

    I think delivery just threw my body off.  I also had really bad cramps and my bb's hurt for the first time ever!  AF after a loss is awful! 

    I hope it slows down for you very soon!

    First of all, I am so sorry for your loss.

    I found my first Af to be heavier after m/c. I would need a super like every 3 hours. Luckily, that only lasted 2 days.

    Also, CD 1 is first day of flow. So, I guess today would be cd 3.

    I would count Sunday as CD 1. I have no idea though about how heavy it should be. GL!

    i'm not sure about cd3 or 4 since i don't chart, however, i can say that from what i have read, every one here bleeds like crazy and has the weirdest AF after their losses... i'm sure cowgirl would know more about late loss AF... as for my early loss AF and i was a raging B*t*h and bled at least 3 to 4 times as much as normal AF.. hope that help a bit

    I'm so sorry for your loss.

    I would say you are probably CD 3 since saturday was just spotting. My first AF after m/c was definitely very heavy like that. I would say though if you are worried, it doesn't hurt to give the Dr. a call just to make sure.
