Update from yesterday's appt

Yesterday I had an appt with my OB to go over things and get a game plan. She referred me over to a very highly recommended RE and gave me a script to get bloodwork done to check for any genetic issues(CF,SMA, Fragile X) in the meantime just to be proactive and cover all of our bases.

 I put a call into the RE as soon as I left her office and surprisingly they got me in for July 2nd! I was a little shocked because I wasn't expecting to get in so soon. I'm a little nervous to be going ahead with the RE, but I know it's for the best. And like my OB said, sometimes just making the appt is luck enough to get pregnant. One can only dream!

I've been putting off this appt for so long because it was just too painful to walk through those doors and sit in a room full of happy pregnant women. It was definitely hard and I found myself feeling really bitter, but then I realized ya know what? These women who are overjoyed with their new babies may have had a hard time bringing that baby into the world. I just hope DH and I get our chance again.

 So off to the RE we go! Anybody have any advice for the first consult? What to bring? What to ask?

Yay for a plan! I hope the RE appt is all you need! I have heard that before from other women.

I think your outlook is so great. Just try to stay positive (I know how hard that is) and take it one step at a time. You will have your baby in your arms before you know it!
