Re: Recommend your birth prep classes
1. We took the Childbirth Prep class that Providence offered
2. Everett - the Pavillion for Women and Children at the Pacific Campus
3. I liked that the instructor was knowledgable and willing to answer any questions. I was expecting the class to have some more relaxation/lamaze type instruction, but it didn't. The relaxation tips she did give were helpful. Overall, it was a good class. I wouldn't take it again, but don't regret taking it. I think in general, we probably would have been just fine not taking a class.
1. The Overlake weekend class
2. In Issaquah
3. I felt like the birth stuff I prepped really well for (we went when I was 36 weeks, so I had already read a lot). But the newborn part of the class was great. Little things, like how to swaddle, dress, and bathe the baby came in real handy.
The only Easter Bunny I can get behind.

oooh page m&m823 - she went on a weekend retreat one that she really liked I think....
I just did the Overlake one - the Evergreen one didn't work timewise for us. Anyway, it was fine. Nothing smashing, nothing bad. It was exactly what I would have expected. we did 5 or 6 evenings. It turned out to mostly be useless since we had a planned c-section in the end. But still. I actually met a nice friend there.
1. Where did you go? Pavillion for Women & Children
2. What city?Everett
3. What did you like best about your birth classes? I loved sitting on the big yoga birth balls, and seeing that I wasn't the biggest pregnant woman in the world.
I liked all the information, but not overload.
1. Expecting Miracles 7-class course
2. Everett
3. They covered everything from vaginal birth to c-section and they were FREE. We had a great time and earned baby bucks to spend at their boutique

1. Bradley Method classes with Kathleen Nelson
2. Shoreline
3. I loved how educated we were by the end of it, felt really prepared for birth, loved how involved it got DH to be, and the bond with the other couples (there were only 4 couples total).?
I'm chiming in late here, but we LOVED the experience we got from our class. It was the best thing and I'm so so so glad we did it this way:
