Re: Do you Bathe with your DC?

  • FYI, Nestiquette requires the "Yes" option to be first, to avoid confusion :)

  • I voted for naked, but I always wear a bra or my DD trys to grab my nipples. LOL. She's not the type of child that sits still, so it's easiest to just hop in with her!

  • Dang I thought I pushed the up arrow but I guess I didn't. All fixed.
  • we showered with her until recently.  Now we usually put her in the duck tub.  I miss showering with her though because it was so much easier!
  • Occasionally. I prefer my own shower, sans bebe. But occasionally I'll get in with her. And I have no weird issue with needing a bra and panties while I do so though. I breastfed and attempted to get my baby out through my vagina. I was not successful in the vaginal birth, but I think she's probably seen enough to make it a bit of a life-long issue at this stage.

I also put diaper cream on her butt fairly regularily. I don't know if I should stop this.

  • I do, but not all the time.
  • i take him in the shower with me sometimes when I want to wash him quickly.  and when i do, i usually throw on a tank top or a bathing suit because it makes it less slippery when im holding him

  • I said yes, but in reality I do both - him in the sink alone or in the shower with me or dh.

  • I don't not because I am against it, but mostly because logistically it is easier to bathe him separate.

  • I said no, because the shower is the one place I get 20 min. to myself a day. I also don't trust my coordination to hold DS in the shower. We still use his sink tub for him.

DH will take DS in the shower with him when we're too lazy to give a bath.

  • DD usually goes in the tub alone, but if we're in a hurry, I'll take her in the shower with me.  But, um, we don't take pictures and certainly wouldn't post them on the interwebs.  I don't even post pics of DD naked, let alone me!

  • I chose the yes/naked option but I don't do it all the time... so my true answer would be "occasionally & naked".
  • I really prefer to shower by myself. Mommy needs time alone. But if we are in a rush I will bring him in with me. Most of the time he is in his duck tub. He loves that thing!!

This would be my answer, as well.

  • No.  I detest taking baths, even on my own.  We haven't brought him into a shower-- he doesn't like getting his face wet at this point - I honestly don't think I'll ever do that as it's kind of "my time" and I like to shower at night, very late (like 10-11ish).
  • No, b/c he might poop in the water. ?Ew.

Also, shower time is the only time I have all to myself all day and I don't want to give that up.

  • i used to more when he was smaller and couldn't sit up on his own, now i just do if he sick or really upset.

  • Yes, DS kept trying to flip over in the bath so we decided that one of us would just take him in with us when he needed it. We just lay him on a towel in the shower while we clean up, then scrub him up after. He loves it :)
