Charlotte Rousse is one of my favorite stores but I went there this weekend and had a load of trouble. For one, I am a couple sizes bigger than I used to be. AND the styles out right now are not ones just anyone can pull off. The shirts that hold tight at the bottom, long and poofy plaid shirts, ruffled shirts, skinny jeans, and shirts that look like rags, etc... I looked so odd in them. We also passed GAP but I cannot wear any of their clothes, I think I look ridiculous.
SO where do you shop for clothes?
Re: NBR: Where do you shop for clothes?
TJ Maxx and Marshalls mostly. I also check out Banana Republic and Limited for their sales.
I totally know what you mean about the clothes- I try to just stay with classic, simple things.
right, well thats bc that store is for 16 year olds. you know i love you, but the styles are not really that good looking on a 20-something... unless you are going out to a party or something. ive shopped there when i needed a fun birthday party outfit, but not for every day.
that being said, i like gap, banana, express.... etc. i get some clothes from VS online, too.
Never heard of CR.
I shop at TJMaxx, Marshalls, Kohls and Talbots.
Can't I be 16 again?! Perhaps I need to move on into the next stage of life and leave it behind. Express I LOVE but it always seems to break the bank when I go on a shopping trip there.
lol i know - i felt that way too. but the nice thing with express is that you can get "express bucks" and save a lot of money after a bit of shopping originally lol
I should say that I do love their pants. I have the best luck with Gap jeans... it is their shirts that get me. Honestly, I feel like I am paying top dollar for a tee shirt with some of their styles.
Ann Taylor Loft and Ann Taylor for every day work clothes.
Banana Republic for their sales
Kohls for the basic necessities.
And I'll shop anywhere and everywhere for shoes. I'm such a shoe whore.

Maybe that is why I never heard of it. I am pushing 35. Express is for the 25 and under set too IMO. I bought "going out" clothing there in my club hopping days.
ditto. i love when i need a fun, going out outfit bc forever 21 calls my name and i dont feel guilty
Target, ON, Penney's, sometimes Kohl's
Penney's sounds kinda old lady-ish to me, but I was surprised at how much of their stuff I liked!
Express, Limited, H&M for basics (I love their t-shirts and tanks), Marshalls/TJ Maxx for discounted Polo and shoes, and I do a lot of online shopping for designer jeans on Rue La La and Gilt Groupe. I also get a lot of sweaters and cute shirts at VS online.
My office is casual (jeans daily) so I get to wear more fun clothes.
I'm 38 and I love Express and Limited. They have great work pieces, too.
gap, banana, j. crew, old navy, target
