TTC After a Loss

Need Some Comments :)

hi there :D

i need some comments from you all, maybe i should know some opinions....

so i had miscarrage during my 6 weeks in march this year and then my OB suggested me to take pills and made sure not to get pregnant within 3 months after the D&C.  i started to take pills but it made me ill so i stopped taking it days after i started it.

after all those time i felt pretty normal, but something's changed this week, i have constipation in a sudden (and it's been going on like that for a week) and no matter what i do for it, it doesn't work, and i suddenly crave for bread or crackers, my apetite has gone from "eat like a bird" to "eat like a horse", i feel thirsty and tired all the time, those are the exact symtoms i got when i was pregnant and it showed up before i even found being pregno....

i did a test yesterday, but guess it was too early to have it tested... :(

so is it possible to have baby that soon (like 2.5months) after a miscarriage?  i've done the ovulation calculating but it's hard to tell since it's been irrigular after i moved to sf..... do you have similar experience?

my DH and i really wanna have our little ones, and pray for it'll happen...

Re: Need Some Comments :)

  • If you stopped taking the birth control and were still having sex, then yes it's absolutely possible to get pregnant that soon. Most docs recommend waiting a certain period of time to make sure your body is back to normal, i.e., able to support a pregnancy again - mine told me that if you don't give it enough time, you may miscarry again since your uterine lining might not have fully recovered.

My doc also told me that we needed to wait one cycle just to make sure I didn't get knocked up right after miscarrying - I did ovulate 2 weeks after the miscarriage, so if we were having sex without condoms (which we weren't) I could have gotten pregnant.

Wait a few days and then test again. I'd also STRONGLY recommend that you start charting so you'll have a better idea of when you're ovulating (assuming you are).

100% agree with this.  I just wanted to add good luck!

  • If it's too early for a test to pick it up it's probably too early for your symptoms.  We're not doctors, I would consult a doctor with these questions, nobody can tell you if it's too soon or not...or if you're pregnant for that matter.

    Good luck to you.
