men and their guns?

does anyone else's DH have a ridiculous desire to own a gun? My DH has been talking about owning one for YEARS... long story short, we went out and bought him one yesterday... i'm a bit nervous, bc we are picking it up on Thursday... i've never had a gun in my house before... he wants to get his concealed weapons license so he can carry it... which cracks me up bc he works on base and i work at a school so it's not allowed to stay in either car... so he would have to purposefully bring it with him when we left the house and purposefully leave it home when he goes to work... i see him being late to work in the future when he realizes it's in his car haha...

i told him my biggest deal breakers were 1. never telling our kids we own one at all and 2. making sure we had a safe JUST for the gun that only he and i knew the code to

Absolutely make sure the gun is in a safe.  Your idea about the code is smart.  Also, even if your DH gets a concealed permit, he should never leave it in a vehicle period.

VERY VERY true... we don't need it getting stolen and my DH being accused of doing something he didn't do... nor do we need it being pulled on us... gosh... they just make me sooo nervous... but he feels nervous without it... so as long as we keep it safe, i guess we should be alright...
