My nephew is mixed and I'm preparing him to finally meet his dad (long story) so I show him a picture of his dad.

Him: "I'm black??"

Me: "you're half black...like Obama"

Him.."does he know??"

Me "your dad? yes, of course he knows"

Him: "noooo, Obama! Does he know about me? I'm sure he'd want to know I'm just like him..."

Me: "Write him a letter and tell him. I'll send it."

Him: "...good idea. I'll also tell him to give you another baby, I bet he knows people.."

Me: ::tears::

awwww, what a sweet story. i can just see two letters showing up at the white house. 1 from him to say that he is like Obama and 1 from you asking if he knows people to give you another baby. lol

We shouldn't have told him about the baby so soon. I feel bad. He went to school and told his classmates his cousin died. eek! My sister had to go talk to the vice principal. That'll teach me for next time. He'll be told at 30 weeks!
