We were supposed to have a showing on the house today. Our realtor didn't get a good vibe from the other realtor and came to the house when they were supposed to be there. They were a no show and our realotor told them if they aren't serious, then don't set up another appt. for the house.
She also told me last night, just to tidy the house and not to worry if it wasn't spotless.
Re: I love my realtor!
I think it's nice that your realtor is looking out for you but in this market (and I know because we are selling a house too) I'd never dream of telling anyone that. Sure, it's rude to not show (we had it happen) but I would be pleasant about it and hope they come back.
And as for just tidying... it is SO hard to keep the house clean with kids. I know. It stinks. But, I do think it must be spotless for every single showing. If I don't have the time to do that (last minute request for example) I tell them how much time I need and won't accept the showing before that. Like my realtor says ... you only get one time to make a first impression. With all the competition out there you need to be perfect.
Oh I know, I always keep my house spotless for showings. So, it was spotless. It's the only real reason to sscrub my floors and windows - and I am enjoying them being done.
This particular couple has had 3 appts. to look at the house and have no showed every time. We are done with that couple
LOL about the floors and windows. Me too!
OMG! I had no idea they had that many no-shows. I take back what I said. I'd tell them the same thing. That's ridiculous!
How long has your house been on the market? We listed our late February and just slashed the price pretty low this week. I'm hoping that finally gets us our buyer but it stinks because we are going to have to take a big loss to get it sold. Unfortunately we need to sell right now. DH took a new job out of state and until we sell commutes and hour and forty minutes each way. Not fun!
We've had on the market since Jan. We just lowered our asking price too. Thanfully, we don't have to move, we just want to.
I would hate that commute too.
