I'm in Nebraska today (actually I've been here since Friday). It really isn't much different from my home area in CA, except it's greener. The weather sucks today, though. I was expecting to find rinky-dink towns w/ absolutely nothing. Kearney is actually larger than my town, has way more restaurants and stores, and isn't bad at all. I saw Loup City yesterday, and it was a cute old town that makes me think of Smalltown, U.S.A. I'll keep my town in CA, but you were right, it's not terrible here (the scenery driving here was a different story...Nevada is the ugliest state to drive through, with Utah coming in a close 2nd!).

    Glad to hear it!  I really like it here.  My whole family is in the state, so it would be hard to leave, but even if they were elsewhere, I think we'd end up staying.

    The weather does suck big-time today, though.  It's muggy as hell!  And dreary!  Not a good combination.
