I'm very well, drinking some wine and watching the movie "Taken".
So you work late hours?
No, not late. I'm usually only on during work hours, when I'm supposed to be working, but since DH and I are at home tonight watching TV, I'm Bumping, too. I see you have just come back from a hiatus (sp?). Welcome back and good luck with the IUI. DH is a quadraplegic, so I think we may be looking that way, too.
I'm in SC right now at my in-laws, other wise I would only be bumping during work hours too.
Where is VA do you live? I use to live in VA to, for 2.5 years. I miss it.
Thank you for the GL! We need as much luck as possible!
I am 200% nervous about this IUI journey. It sounds easy/simple, but we have found ourselves planning things around it. I have "heard" so many things about clomid and it's side effects, it's freaking me out!!!!!!
I'm in Richmond. Born and raised, only left to go to college and came right back once finished. I love living here: 2 hours from everything; the beach, the mountains, NC, DC.
I have family in Charleston, SC and I love going down there to visit. We spent last Thanksgiving there and had a great time. How long are you down there?
I haven't seen an RE yet, but DH has a fertility specialist we have been to in order to get an injectible medicine that makes it possible for him to have an erection. We are trying on our own for a while, with a SA planned by the end of August. We're trying to take things slow so we don't get stressed out by things, and we communicate all the time making sure we are both on the same page.
I'm not going to pretend to know how you are feeling right now, but I do hope everything works out in your favor with the IUI. You'll have to keep me posted on how things go. How long have ya'll been TTC?
I lived in Northern VA for 2.5 years, Sterling, Leesburg and Middleburg. Minus the traffic, I miss it.
We're staying at my in-laws, right outside of Charleston...like 15-20 mins away from downtown. We are staying until Moday, a quick 5-day visit. I love visiting the Charleston area, downtown, Isle of Palms. The weather is terrible right now, lots of rain. Hopefully, tomorrow or Sunday we will be able to go to the beach and get some much need sun.
I understand going with the flow with your situation, but I do recommend, speeding up the process a little bit b/c it's a lot of WAITING. The sooner/faster you get on the TTC train the better.
Thank you very much for the good thoughts. I wish you the same. We will 1105 have to keep in touch on both of our journey's, as I do wish you the best of luck. We have been TTC since Nov. 08. How long have you been trying?
I looked in a teaching job up in Nova, but i actually turned the principal down when he called me back due to all the traffic and the business.
It's supposed to be nice here tomorrow and for the rest of the weekend as well, so hopefully you'll get some beach time in. Or, there's nothing wrong with shopping!
To be perfectly honest, I am 31 and want a baby like 5 years ago, however DH has just in the last two cycles been ready to TTC. Like most men, he thinks his sperm are super sperm, so I'm trying to not burst his bubble by pushing him to get the SA done, etc. We had dinner with some friends who are in the same boat we are, execpt they had twins via IVF 2 years ago. They recently shared their TTC journey with us and encouraged DH to get the SA done, which I was glad about. So, we have told ourselves that we will get it done by August (when we go on vacay). That way we're trying on our own, but also having a fairly cheap test done to make sure all his swimmies are acting right.
So, I know that most couples go an entire year of TTC before they are even considered for infertility issues. What made ya'll skip a few months if you don't mind my asking?
I don't blame you for turning down that teaching job at NOVA. The traffice is CRAZY in that area.
We are really hoping that the weather is good tomorrow & Sunday so we can hit the beach 2 days in a row.
Honestly, I would have your DH so an SA ASAP. It's really no big deal. My Dh had no issues with an SA test. He wants a baby, I want a baby....so whatever it takes to get answers why we were not pg after x amt of time....that's what we did.
I always had a feeling that something was not "right" with DH excrements (sp?) so I was like...honey I think we need to go to the next step.
So you think your dh is going to have issues with this? It's MUCH easiser to test a guy then it is a girl.

Are you nervous about the IUI, excited, anxious?
