Today at preschool, her best friend told her she wasn't her friend anymore.

I had forgotten how early on the snarky stuff happens.

Yep, my dd is 3 and one boy in the class told her he "hated" her because she got to be the line leader that day.  It's sad but a fact of life.  I teach school so I see it happen but it still doesn't make it easier.

What do you say to her to cheer her up? I wouldn't really even know what to say. It's not like you can announce "oh, don't worry honey, that girl's just a biotch".
