TTC After a Loss

Depression/Anxiety Meds

I've been having a hard time getting over the lose of our baby boy in January and we've started injectables again this cycle. It's so much harder than I remember and I feel like the injectables are making me a crazy woman.  I cry, than I'm happy, then I'm angry, etc.  I know you shouldn't take depression/anxiety meds while pregnant but have any of you taken them with the fertility treatments?

I suggested another break for awhile to DH, but he doesn't want to wait any longer. I also think that time isn't going to help-no matter how long we wait it will be the same.

Plus, should I call me RE or talk to my family doctor?

Re: Depression/Anxiety Meds

  • Oh hon, I'm sorry you're going thru that! I would ask your RE what meds are OK while on the injectables, then go to your family doc for the Rx. Oftentimes, specialists like RE's or OB's won't perscribe meds that aren't directly connected to their specialty, but of course there's no harm in asking. GL!

  • I'm not on injectables but I plan to stay on antidepressants though clomid and then also through my PG. There are risks associated with staying on the meds but there are risks of not being on them too. I would suggest talking with both your OB/GYN/RE and even a Psychiatrist. You can get anti-depressants from a GP or OB/GYN but I think the specialist was worth it for me because of their knowledge of dosing and tolerance.?

It's a very personal decision but if you have any more questions about the meds please PM or page me!?

oh please. not KU. effed up.
